Election Process and Information
CRPOA’s Bylaws require the annual election of three directors. The election process starts in January and ends in May.
If you are interested in seeking a position on the board of directors next spring, your first step is to download, print and utilize the 2017 Director Candidate Nomination Petition Instructions and Signature form. If you cannot download the documents, you may contact our San Jose office at (855) 552-7762 and select extension 2, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for nomination forms and instructions.
You might consider running for the board if you have a sincere desire to expend a great deal of energy for your organization. You cannot become a director and just sit back. You need time to contribute, a thick skin and the ability to work with a diverse group of people. Serving as a director can be a fulfilling and rewarding endeavor.
The seats of the three directors whose terms expire this coming May are available for you to strive for, but many people don’t run because they feel they won’t have a chance against an incumbent. That’s not true; incumbents have been defeated at least twice in the past few years. This is an opportune time for you to consider serving your Association in an important way.
